Easily record and evaluate your own blood pressure values anywhereThe site „BloodPressureDB.de“ offers the solution for all hypertension patients: On the web or as an app, everyone can now conveniently and free of charge enter and analyze their own data at any time. While home measuring devices quickly and easily determine the values, documentation and evaluation have until now been tedious with paper or spreadsheets.
In Germany alone, according to the „Green Cross“, around 12 million people are affected by high blood pressure. In addition to sleep disorders and breathing problems, heart attack and stroke are among the most feared consequences and one of the leading causes of death. Therefore, it is essential for this patient group to continuously monitor and evaluate their own blood pressure data.
Horst Klier, operator of the website „BloodPressureDB.de“, still regularly measures his values as a former hypertension patient. Since he found the evaluation in paper form and even as a spreadsheet too uncomfortable, he took decisive action and developed a data collection and evaluation software for blood pressure values. Via browser on the internet or as an app on mobile devices like Android smartphones or the iPhone, the data can not only be collected but also evaluated immediately. „I wanted a solution that is flexible, easy to use, and above all free of charge. The evaluations are meaningful and greatly facilitate the doctor's work“, explains Horst Klier his intention.
At www.BloodPressureDB.de, anyone interested can register completely free of charge. For data protection reasons, no personal data is collected. A self-defined username and an email address are sufficient for registration. After logging in, the data can be recorded minute by minute and queried in the form of charts or statistics. The systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse, and a comment are recorded. Upon request, a detailed evaluation can be obtained as a PDF, which can be presented to the attending physician. It is even possible to import values that have been recorded in spreadsheets to date.
The portal also provides interested users with many informative details about the topic of „high blood pressure“.
