Restart the app

Sometimes you need to restart the app. Going back to the home screen and opening the app again isn't a real restart the app is only hidden briefly and keeps running in the background. To completely remove it from memory, please do the following.

You can also simply turn the device off and on again. That will close all apps.

iOS (iPhone / iPad / iPod touch):

• On an iPhone X or later, or on an iPad with iOS 12 or later or iPadOS, swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen and pause briefly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, doublepress the Home button to show your recently used apps.
• Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.
• Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

Android:

Most devices have a built-in feature that shows your recently used apps and lets you close them.

For older devices there are many taskmanager apps that can close apps. You can also go to Settings > Apps (or Applications), select the app, and choose "Force stop".
