Notifications
You can have the BloodPressureDB app send you a reminder for taking one or more medications. You can also set a reminder for your next blood pressure measurement.
Taking your medication:
Reminders for taking pills can be turned on and off directly in the medication overview under "Medications".
If the simple schedule Morning Midday Evening Night is used for taking tablets, the times are set to 7:00, 12:00, 17:00 and 22:00.
If several medications need to be taken at the same time, they will be grouped into a single reminder.
Important: Reminders are scheduled for a maximum of 14 days. If the app is not opened within that time, no further reminders will be shown. Apple devices support a maximum of 64 reminders. So if you set many medication reminders at different times, the total period will be limited. For example, if you have 10 reminders per day, they will only be shown for 6 days if you don't open the app during that time.
Measurement:
To get a reminder for your next blood pressure measurement, open Settings and scroll to "Reminder for measurements". You can then enable up to three reminders at times you choose or at set intervals after the last measurement or entry.
If your device doesn't show reminders, please check that the device has the necessary permission and is not in Do Not Disturb mode..
Note: Reminders are not synced between devices. That means if you use multiple devices, you can choose which device will show notifications and which will not.
iOS:
On Apple devices you will be asked once on first use whether the app may send notifications. You can change this setting later in the device's system settings.Android:
Under Settings -> Apps -> BloodPressureDB make sure Show notifications is enabled.Under Settings -> Sound & notifications -> App notifications -> BloodPressureDB make sure Block is not selected.
Depending on your Android version and device manufacturer, the settings may vary.
Note: When the app is updated, all currently scheduled notifications are cleared. This is an Android behavior and cannot be changed.
There are also battery-saving features that can suppress notifications or delay their delivery. These functions are built into the Android system, but there are also many third-party apps for this. Below we cover the direct system functions of some manufacturers.
Important: After a system update these settings are often lost and must be set again.
