Notifications
In the BloodPressureDB app, you have the option to receive a notification for the upcoming intake of one or more medications. You can also set a reminder for your next blood pressure measurement.
Medication Intake:
Notifications for taking tablets can be activated and deactivated directly in the medication overview under the section „Medications“.
If the simple schedule of Morning Noon Evening - Night is used for tablet intake, the times are set to 7:00, 12:00, 17:00, and 22:00.
If multiple medications need to be taken at the same time, they will be combined into one reminder.
Important: Reminders are created for a maximum of 14 days. If the app is not opened within this time, no further reminders will be displayed. Apple devices support a maximum of 64 reminders. So if you set many medication intakes at different times, the period will be limited. For example, if you have 10 reminders per day, they will only be displayed for 6 days if you do not start the app during this period.
Measurement:
To receive a reminder for the next blood pressure measurement, please click on the Settings option and scroll down to „Reminder for Measurements“. You can now activate up to three reminders at your desired times or at set intervals after the last measurement or new entry.
If your device does not issue reminders, please check whether the device has the appropriate permission and is not being operated in "Do Not Disturb" mode..
Note: Reminders are not synchronized between devices. This means that if you use multiple devices, you can specifically set which device will issue notifications and which will not.
iOS:
On Apple devices, you will be asked once during the first use whether the app can send notifications. This setting can later be changed in the device's system settings.Android:
In Settings -> Apps -> BloodPressureDB, Show Notifications must be activated. In Settings -> Sound & Notifications -> App Notifications -> BloodPressureDB, Block must not be selected.
Depending on the Android version and manufacturer, the settings may vary.
Note: If the app is updated, all currently displayed notifications will be deleted. This is a behavior of Android and cannot be disabled.
Additionally, there are battery-saving functions that can suppress notifications or cause delayed display. Such functions are integrated into the Android system, but there are also numerous apps for this. We will address the direct system functions of some manufacturers here.
Important: When the system is updated, these settings are usually lost and must be redone.
