How does the Infomail work?
Our Infomail provides practical health information about high blood pressure. We regularly send emails with important or interesting updates. All content is thoroughly researched and tailored to the intended audience.
You will receive the Infomail when you register as a BloodPressureDB user. However, the Infomail is separate from your user account. This is for historical reasons: for a long time we allowed creating multiple user accounts with the same email address. But it would be pointless to send the same email more than once. So the Infomail is linked to the stored email address, but not directly tied to a user account.
You can therefore unsubscribe from the Infomail without it affecting your user account. Likewise, you can delete your user account and still continue to receive the Infomail.
The Infomail is part of the paid version of BloodPressureDB. Users of the free version or users without registration receive a shortened version. However, the first emails are always sent in full.
In the app (from version 7.1.7) there's a menu item "Infomail". There you can open and view all the Infomails you have received so far. Premium users can also trigger a resend by email and receive the Infomail again. So if you use the app for free and later decide to upgrade to the paid version, you'll immediately have access to the full text of all Infomails you've received at your email address.
