BloodPressureDB - How it works
Sign up
Before you can use BloodPressureDB, you need to register. You'll need to provide your email address. To make sure it's really yours, we send a confirmation email with a link. Click that link to activate your account. Only then can you sign in to the app or the website and use the service. This extra step is a bit inconvenient, but it's necessary because the PDF reports are also sent by email to the address you provide. We need to be sure those emails are wanted and that no one is entering someone else's address as a joke.By the way: One registration works for both the app and the website. You can use either or both, and you can use the app on multiple devices. That's especially useful if your phone ever fails you'll still have access to all your data.
Note: The app also offers a "Use without signing up" guest mode. No registration is required and use is then anonymous. However, the PDF report cannot be sent by email because no address is stored. Also, you won't be able to access your data from different devices.
Taking measurements
Use your existing upper-arm or wrist blood pressure monitor. No special device is required. If you don't have a monitor yet, you can buy one fairly cheaply. The app also supports devices that connect directly via Bluetooth.Recording readings

To record a measurement, just enter the values. Date and time are pre-filled with the current values but can be changed to add older readings. You can enter data using the on-screen keyboard or a "dial" control. When you use the dial to enter blood pressure and pulse, the previous average value is used as the default, so often only a few changes are needed. The pulse can also be left blank. If you use a Bluetooth device the data are recorded automatically. So you can skip this step.
If you wish, you can add a comment and mark a measurement to be ignored in the analysis. This can be useful, for example, for readings taken right after strenuous activity.
Reviewing results
When you open the app you'll see the most recent days with recorded data. The time range can be changed almost freely. Buttons let you display the last 7, 30, or 90 days with one click. Tips
Average over timeFor a long period with many readings, the option Statistical average over time is useful. It shows your average and how it changes over time.
EventsDoctor visits or medication changes can be entered as an event. To do this, save a separate entry under New entry and put the date and time of the event into the comment field. Leave the other fields blank.
MedicationsYou can record your medication intake. If you enter your supply, BloodPressureDB will automatically calculate how long it will last.

PDF reportTo show your data to your doctor, you can create a PDF report.
It contains clear statistics and charts. The document can be easily sent by email or printed.
